This is the second time I've shopped with them. Both experiences have shown me that the fabrics are top-notch and just as they said. Delivery was prompt, and the fabric arrived in perfect shape. Plus, the prices are really good.

I ordered a custom single curtain for a window that measures 150cm. Since I hadn't put up the curtain pole yet, I told them I wasn't sure about the length. They mentioned that this was unusual but agreed to move forward anyway. I received paperwork confirming that I wanted a finished width of 150cm, and I approved it. However, what arrived was a nicely crafted single curtain that was 150cm wide. When I tried to hang it, I realized it didn’t cover the window properly; it needed to be about a third wider. Essentially, there was a mix-up between my understanding of 'finished width' and theirs. Nobody ever mentioned that the curtains should be wider than the window itself, which is the main issue here. When I reached out to resolve this, I was told I had agreed to the size and they wouldn’t make any changes because adding extra fabric would be pricier than making new curtains. I was left with the option of tossing my brand new £270 curtains and ordering another set. You can imagine how let down I felt. I argued that adding a bit more width couldn’t possibly cost more than the curtains themselves and pushed for a solution. After some back and forth, they offered to add 75cm for £180, which was way out of my budget for a single curtain. I had no choice but to ask if they could sell me just the fabric so I could try to add it myself. They sold me the fabric for about £80 and wouldn’t offer any discount or goodwill gesture. This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had with a company. It was appalling that they refused to help until I practically begged for a resolution. They didn’t seem to grasp that I couldn’t just throw away nearly £300. I also acknowledge that I share some blame for the misunderstanding. I did specify the 150cm finished width and signed off on it. But since I’ve never bought curtains before, I expected guidance from them, like a heads-up that curtains usually need to be double the width of the area they’re meant to cover. How was I supposed to know? Their refusal to find a reasonable solution was frustrating. A fair resolution would have been for me to buy the extra fabric and for them to sew it on without extra charges. Now, my only option is to buy the fabric and attempt to finish the curtains myself. So, take heed: if there’s any confusion, you’re pretty much on your own.

I’ve tried to get in touch with this company through both phone and email, but there’s been absolutely no reply. I need to place an order for over $1000 worth of fabric, but if I don’t hear back, then they won’t be seeing a dime from me. Just a heads up for other buyers. I’m starting to think this site might be a scam.

I placed an order with "Fabric Direct Online" (or as they’re really known, "Hole In The Wall Curtains Group Ltd") on August 5th. They told me the order was all set on September 28th. By October 19th, I was wondering why the material hadn’t arrived yet, so I reached out and got a bunch of ridiculous excuses, mostly pointing fingers at the courier and us. They claimed there were multiple delivery attempts on days when we were home, but we know for a fact that no one showed up. The owner even suggested, "I think there might be trouble getting in, a communal area or side gate?" when we actually live in a standalone bungalow with a driveway right off the high street. Eventually, we just gave up and got a refund, but no compensation for the time wasted or the lost appointment with the curtain maker. To sum it up: the staff were friendly, the couriers were terrible, and the owners had a rude attitude that just won’t cut it in customer service.

She took charge of my issue, checked the pattern repeat, called me back, and assisted me in fixing my order. I ordered a small piece of fabric 10 days back, and just 2 days ago, I received an email saying my order was done. I was a bit puzzled by that because I thought an order was only complete once the buyer actually gets the fabric! I've reached out via email twice and even called to check if my order had been sent out, but I've heard nothing back. This is some pretty shocking customer service.
